Detecting a Gas Leak

An odorant is added to the natural gas so that even small leaks can be easily detected. If you suspect a natural gas leak, please contact the CFU Gas Operations Department at 268-5340 or 268-6999. A Gas Service Technician is available 24 hours a day and will be dispatched immediately to locate the gas leak and take the necessary steps to protect the safety of our customers.

If the natural gas smell is extremely strong, evacuate the premises, then notify CFU from a neighbor's phone. Do not unplug appliances or use electrical switches.
